Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I maintain my building?
Arctic Shelters are designed for easy maintenance. We recommend doing a monthly fabric and bolt tightening to ensure maximum stability. If your fabric cover becomes dirty, don’t worry, simply wash it away with everyday use detergent.
  • How long does it take to install a building?
Most Arctic Shelters can be customer installed within 20-25 man hours with a crew of 5-6 people. Our 50' wide series can be more time consuming and we would recommend hiring a professional installation crew to have it installed. Contact us for Arctic approved installation crews near you.
  • What is our framework made of?
Arctic Shelter uses Q235 commercial grade steel that is hot dipped galvanized to provide corrosion resistance and years of worry free use.
  • How does the warranty work?
Arctic Shelter provides manufacture warranty on all fabrics and all steel frame works. Please register your shelter as soon as possible using the serial code provided in each Arctic Shelter buildings. Warranty starts on the date of purchase from invoices distributed by an authorized third party (not on the date of installation).
  • How do I select my foundation?
We recommend using concrete padding or lock blocks as the best method to prepare your foundation. Concrete padding and lock blocks prevents the shelter from shifting or sinking over time. Other approved methods are sea containers and concrete forms.
  • How do I register my shelter for warranty?
Registering your warranty is fast and easy! Simply send us an email with your serial number and a copy of your invoice. You will shortly receive an email confirmation notifying your product has been registered.
  • What does local warranty mean?
Local warranty means all of our customer service representatives are locally employed in Canada to provide you with the best customer service experience, on time and until you are satisfied.
  • How come my tarp appears to be few inches off on both ends?
If you find your tarp appears to be few inches off on both ends, don’t worry, nothing is wrong. The slack is to provide room to tighten the locking ratchets on both ends to maximize tarp resistance strength.
  • Why are there no prices online?
We distribute our shelters across North America and Europe dealing with more than one type of currency, hence the fluctuation in shipping fees and currency makes it difficult for us provide our customers with a fixed price. Our goal is always to deliver the highest quality at the lowest price. If you have any questions regarding this matter or would like to get a quote on one of our shelter(s), please don't hesitate to email us, we will be more than happy to assist you.
